Celebrating the Legacy of Mrs. Vijayaluxmy Satkunananthan

It is with profound sorrow and a solemn cadence that we announce the serene passage of Mrs. Vijayaluxmy Satkunananthan, affectionately known as Thanga, on the 28th of August, 2023.

Born amidst the gentle winds of Vannarpannai, Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Thanga’s roots were firmly embedded in the soil of Kantharmadam until 1967 when she embarked on a journey to London.

Daughter of the late Mr. Chellappa Thuraiappah and the late Mrs. Kaveriammah Thuraiappa of Kantharmadam, and daughter-in-law of the late Mr. Muttiah Kulanthaivelu and the late Mrs. Luxmypillai Kulanthaivelu of Urumpirai.

Thanga was the cherished companion of the late Mr. Kulanthaivelu Satkunananthan, fondly known as Satkunam, and the tender-hearted mother of Anusha, Chithra, and Tharani.

She held the titles of mother-in-law with warmth, embracing Raveendran, Somasundara Desigar, and Yathavan.

A nurturing grandmother to Vaishnave, Bhanupriya, Rishikapriya, Kailan, and Amaraa, she was the embodiment of familial love.

In the tapestry of her life, Thanga was also a sister to the late Vijayarani, late Vijayaratnam, late Vijayarajah, Shanthakumari (Bhavani), and the late Varatharajan.

She bore the role of sister-in-law with grace, alongside the late Kanthasamy, late Mahaluxmy, late Karunadevi, late Shanmugarajah, and late Vijayalatchumi. She further extended her warmth as a sister-in-law to Nithiananthan-Indrarani, Vivekanandan-Karuneswari, and Arulananthan-Sivamohini.

In reverence to her memory, we humbly request our dear relatives, friends, and extended families to embrace this announcement.
